Dr. Batool Al-Wahdani is a 25 years old medical doctor from Jordan. She is the past president of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA). Dr Al-Wahdani is a youth advocate active in Universal Health Converge, youth engagement in health, and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. She has led the advocacy work of medical students during several positions she took on while in IFMSA.
She was part of the International Advisory Group on Primary Health Care for UHC created by WHO and a member of the guideline development group for WHO Consolidated Guideline on Self-care Interventions for Health. She was selected as the youth representative to Launch the UN Youth Strategy: Youth 2030 during the UN General Assembly in 2018. She worked as a temporary advisor to develop a youth engagement mechanism in WHO/EMRO. She represented medical students and youth in several international meetings, such as Health Professional Meeting (H20), ECOSOC Youth Forum, High-Level Political Forum, UN General Assemblies, UHC Civil Society Hearing and the World Health Assembly.
She is a Chevening Scholar perusing MSc of Public Health in London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
